Due to continued success and growth
they are looking
to recruit an additional person to join our Solution Architecture team. Reporting to the Head of
Consulting and
Service Delivery Management you will be responsible for the design and
implementation of custom solutions for complex Internet and Enterprise
solution infrastructures.
Role:
- Working with the sales
operation to accurately define client solutions and to help drive the
bid and sales process.
- Provide technical appraisal and presentation of
client needs and potential solutions.
- Consult with clients either in person or
through conference calls to understand their exact technical
requirements.
- Talking clients through possible solutions to
best suit their requirements within set budgets.
- Walk
clients through and present the various technologies proposed and
explain both the technical and commercial reasoning for proposed
technologies.
- Produce detailed solution design documentation
to show all information pertaining to the design.
- Gain and influence the solutions approval from
client.
- Prepare all final documentation for the formal
proposal and ensure signed off by relevant parties.
- Highlight any unsupported or non-standard
Client requirements to the Architecture
Person:
- An
excellent understanding of designing suitable architectures around
n-tier Internet, Enterprise applications (SAP and Oracle), and their
associated infrastructures.
- Broad
experience of Windows, Solaris, AIX, RedHat, Weblogic, SAP, Oracle,
Apache. Cisco networking, ideally CCNA qualified, preferably
with
expertise in several of these technologies.
- 5+ years in an internet and enterprise
infrastructure solutions design environment based around SUN/ HP/
IBM/Cisco technologies.
- A previous track record of providing technical
consultancy.
- Strong skills in devising documentation of
infrastructure solutions.
- Excellent commercial acumen – able to
articulate both technically and commercially
- Very acute attention to detail.
- A highly charismatic individual with
professional presentation skills
- Ability
and commitment to work to tight timescales coupled with the ability and
drive to work on several assignments concurrently.
Package:
Base Salary £45-65k, bonus, pension, healthcare, gym membership
The role is based near Staines, and will require 50% travel, though not
long periods away from home.
