Securities Product Risk Senior Valuation Analyst - London, City based £40 -55k plus benefits

Required Education - Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics.

One of the main functions of the department is to protect the safety and soundness of the markets in the areas of clearance and settlement within the centrally cleared market area.

The Securities Valuation Department is responsible for defining the market value of each eligible security in response to daily changes in the financial markets. SV obtains market price and descriptive data such as ratings from external sources as well as internal pricing models. In addition to validating market prices, SV is responsible for defining and assigning applicable haircuts to securities in collateral valuation to protect against adverse market movements and minimize financial exposure from a Participant’s default.

Our client a central counterparty (CCP) is looking for a Securities Product Senior Valuation Analyst for their Securities Valuation (SV) team.

Performs daily valuation towards various types of market instruments (e.g. Corporate debt, Structured debt, Money Market Instruments) and quality control of the haircut and rating system.

This breaks down into the following principal objectives:-

Performs research necessary to support analyzing pricing exceptions
Conducts periodic vendor performance reviews and benchmark testing
Prepares business requirements and reviews functional specifications needed to support the implementation of system enhancements and new projects.
Responds to customer inquiries in a timely manner.
Interfaces with internal management, external service providers and customers.
Perform day to day functions contained in the unit's procedures such as researching significant increases in pricing exceptions, tracking volatile securities, market events, etc.
Contributes to supporting the department in adherence to policies and procedures as set-forth by various regulatory bodies

Securities Product Senior Valuation Analyst required experience.
