Securities Product Risk Associate Manager - London, City based £40 -60k plus benefits

Required Education - Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics.

One of the main functions of the department is to protect the safety and soundness of the markets in the areas of clearance and settlement within the centrally cleared market area. Accomplished by the roles of the various areas in the department, Credit & Product Risk, Quantitative Analysis and Operational Risk Management.

Our client a central counterparty (CCP) is looking for a Securities Product Risk Associate Manager for their product risk team.

The function of the role is to under close supervision be responsible for the daily monitoring of market risk exposure for an assigned portfolio of member firms and for the preparation of documentation needed to support systems initiatives.

This breaks down into the following principal objectives:-

• Performs research necessary to support analysing different margining methodologies
• Executes the plan for implementation of new margining methodologies and enhancements of existing methodologies, including preparation of test scripts and testing, preparation of business requirements, progress memos, etc.
• Provides support for the preparation of written responses to audit and regulatory reports.
• Interacts with auditors and regulators during examinations
• Proactively identifies own development needs
• Assist in the development of unit goals
• Perform day to day functions contained in the unit's procedures such as researching significant increases in margin requirements, tracking trading patterns of member firms, liquidity usage, etc.
• Contributes to supporting the department in adherence to policies and procedures as set-forth by various regulatory bodies.

Securities Product Risk Associate Manager required experience.

• Good knowledge of particular security products cleared and settled through the complex
• Very good analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Very good communication skills, both oral and written
• Team player with the ability to take initiative
• Ability to work well under pressure
