Qualified Solicitor Job - Profile

Our client is a multinational organisation offering a full range of Insurance and Risk Management Solutions and Consultancy Services.

The UK Claims advisory service is continuing to grow its Legal Claims Advisory Practice: a new and highly successful service offering, which will not only grow within the UK market, but will be launched from the UK into the EMEA region.

The service uniquely provides qualified litigation solicitors to audit and advise its major clients on how best to manage, reduce and defend against the tide of fast growing legal claims, resulting the ongoing toughening on regulations around corporate responsibilities.

The role is home based, and salary in the region of £45,000 base, plus bonus, car allowance, pension, health, life insurance and other benefits

Objectives of Role

Develop and deliver consulting projects (Audit, Advisory and Training) for clients. Identify and develop prospective sales opportunities in the area of legal claims defence.

Working with both the broking business and wider areas of the Risk Consulting Group.

Main Tasks

The consultant will provide risk management consulting services to clients, with an emphasis on services relating to defending health and safety / Employer liability claims and training in this area.

The preferred candidate will:
• Work with clients and prospects to deliver and develop consulting opportunities.
• Work with other members of the consulting team in developing service offerings, such as systems and process audits, training in health and safety accident investigation and related areas.
• Propose, deliver and administer client projects – in the areas noted above.
• Deliver individual revenue target and contribute to the overall success of the team.
• Work as a key member of the team in developing solutions for employee related risks, both internally and with clients.
• Have a strong track record in defending health and safety / EL claims.

Experience

3 + years experience as a qualified solicitor defending legal claims

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good presentation and training skills
• Claims auditing experience preferable

Ability to communicate at a variety of levels within organisations (i.e. employees, managers and senior executives).

Knowledge

Expert in PI / EL / health and safety claims proficient in using word, PowerPoint, Excel and an email package.

H Qualifications: Qualified solicitor candidates: Law degree, with current practice certificate.
