They provide independent, impartial advice to our customers in the defence, nuclear, power & energy, civil aerospace, rail, marine, petrochemical and industrial sectors.

With growth of over 20% per annum for the past five years and increased demand for their services they are now recruiting for current and future opportunities to enable them to extend our capability and meet fresh challenges across a range of different markets. Nuclear safety consultant there are a number of opportunities for Junior and Senior Engineers with a desire to progress a career in Safety Engineering in the civil nuclear, naval nuclear and decommissioning fields.

For the junior positions candidates should have a good engineering degree and a knowledge or interest in safety engineering.

Candidates for senior positions should have relevant technical expertise, and the confidence and ability to establish / lead a team of safety engineers.

Management processes and techniques.

The candidate will hold an engineering or business related degree and should have experience of working within defence sector on project risk and opportunity management.

Recent experience of leading significant project teams during the development and implementation of risk management strategies within the Ministry of Defence’s SMART acquisition framework.

A good understanding and track record of formal project risk assessment and reduction techniques as applied to complex defence acquisition programmes (including risk identification, analysis and reduction, mitigation planning, risk registers, three point estimating, risk maturity modelling) is essential.

Preferably you will have held a recent position within a consultancy business environment working as a project risk management consultant.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate excellent communication, writing and presentation skills.

Roles are based across the UK out of main office locations in Dorking, Bristol, Burton-on-Trent, Glasgow, Plymouth, Warrington and Dorchester.

Salaries reflect experience between £30k for a junior consultant up to £70k for a principal level consultant.

Additional benefits include car allowance (dependent on grade) bonus, pension and insurances.
