Interview Mistakes

Interview Mistakes? Employ these delightful tips to ensure your interviewing destruction.

We’ve all had a bad job interview at some stage, but it could be worse!

If you think your interview was the worst job interview think again.

All the steps that we go through in our suggested interview have actually happened!

Not all at the same time you’ll be relieved to know, but they are all based on true interview stories.

Before we start your step by step interview self-destruction plan, we have found 3 funny job interview videos to illustrate our plan.

We hope you enjoy them. Just click on the picture to play.

Hope you enjoyed the Video’s.

Now let’s start the step by step guide .

How to have the worst Job interview.

Step 1

Before you get to the interview make sure you are dressed inappropriately

Example: Jogging suit for a managerial position where you will always be required to wear a suit

Dirty shoes or trainers

Crumble shirt with or without stains.

Step 2

You have two options here.

Option 1 arrive 30 minutes early . Go into reception and advise them you will be waiting outside. Make sure they can see you and proceed to open a bottle of beer and drink it. Then when it is nearer the time go back into reception and put your empty bottle on the reception desk.

Option 2 arrive 30 minutes early sit in reception and keep looking at your watch or stand at the desk and keep tapping your fingers on the desk.

Option 3 arrive late and put an empty beer bottle on receptionist desk.
When you arrive for your interview make sure you have no idea who is interviewing you.

Step 3

When you are in reception put your perfume or aftershave on and make sure it’s overpowering.

Put  your sunglasses on and  leave them on through the whole  interview.

Step 4

Arrive  chewing gum - if you can blow bubbles with it even better.

Step 5

The handshake – a vital first impression setter.

Option 1 Make sure your handshake is very limp – like grabbing wet lettuce.

Option 2 A very firm hand crushing handshake -  you’re going for tears in the eyes of your interviewer.

Option 3 A normal handshake but with really sticky hands – A slightly shift grin accompanies this one perfectly.

Step 6

On your way to the interview room make sure smell your armpits.
Make sure you are noticed having a good sniff of your own armpit – personal hygiene is very important.

Step 7

Remove the gum you’ve been chewing and pass it to the interviewer asking them to put it in the bin for you – remember to say thank-you!

Alternately stick your gum under the interviewers desk.

Step 8

Don’t wait to be asked to take a seat, just sit down kick off your shoes, put your feet on the desk and relax.

Step 9

When asked for a copy of your Resume / CV either handover a crumpled copy or say you forgot it.

Step 10

Appear disinterested, giggle, laugh or whistle ever time you are asked a question

Step 11

When asked what you know about the company make sure you tell them you did no research or just make something up.

Step 12

Make sure you keep your cell phone/ mobile phone on at all times and when it rings answer it and ask the interviewer if they would mind leaving the room because it is private.

Step 13

It’s getting to the end of the interview so again you have 2 choices. You can stand up without saying a word and walk  out,  or ask your interviewer for a lift home.

All of the above have happened in real interviews.
