Your Best Resume Writing Tips / or questions
The
intention of this site is to build a free library of great career
related tips and guides, to ensure you not only get the call to
interview, but ultimately the job offer of your dreams.
Specifically this page is about developing resume writing advice that everyone can easily use.
I do appreciate that tips on their own, though well meaning are not always easy to use.
For example it's good advice to:-
- Record your experience as achievement statements rather than lists of responsibilities.
- Keep your CV / resume writing consise, and the document under 2 pages.
- Inject your unique personality into your CV / resume.
- Create a compelling objective or summary statement that will engage your reader.
However how do you do all these things successfully?
A lot of the advice seem's to think we have all been on copywriting courses or are skilled writers.
Though
we offer a fair chunk of CV / resume writing, and interviewing
advice on this site. We are always adding to it and will be
concentrating on adding more in the way of step by step guides.
To this end, I NEED YOUR HELP.
I would love to know:-
- What is the best CV / resume writing tip you have been given?
- What is the worst CV / resume writing tip?
- What causes you the biggest career related problems ?
- What questions do you have?
- Do you know a good CV / Resume pro writer
- Review any of the CV / Resume software packages you've used
- What other services have you used? any good?
- What effect is the economic downturn having on you?
- What is the best advice if you've been adversely effected?
Your HELP is needed
We would love to hear your views or answer your questions.
