Best Job for me

How do I find the best job for me?

Just take a minute to picture what your life would be like if you woke up every day looking forward to going into work.

Doing a Job that you enjoyed, working with likeminded people, doing a job that interested you.

Can you imagine how good that would feel? How energized, productive and happy you would be?

How do you feel about your job at the moment are you?

  • Bored?
  • Do you feel like life is passing you by?
  • Do you go to work clock watching waiting to go home, hating most of your day, just looking forward to Friday and dreading Monday mornings.
  • Do you feel you have Job Burnout?
  • Are you feeling drained?
  • Do you feel you are suffering from work stress?
  • Are you restless and don’t know why?
  • Do you long for a meaningful Job?

There is a solution to this problem

There are 3 Key steps that you need to take

1. Discover what you are designed to do.

2. Do it.

3. Reduce everything else.

If you want to find, the best job for me.

What do you need to do?

Firstly you must discover who you are, what motivates you, what your strengths are, what talents you have.

How do you do this?

The easiest and quickest way to find out would be to take a motivational test. To take a free test just Click Here.

The test is a set of questions there are no wrong or right answers.

Don’t answer the questions how you think you should answer them, answer them truthfully.

This motivational test will take you approximately 40 minutes (you can stop the test at any time save your answers and go back to it at a later date)if you can complete this motivational test  all in one go it will probably be best.

Once you have done your test you will given a report.

Really read it to find out what you are truly all about.

Read this through once then read it through again.

When you read it through the second time, highlight your positive motivators and negatives motivators with different colours.

When I did the test and read through it and I began to understand why certain jobs just drained me.

Now you have had a good look at the motivational report you will need to do some soul searching.

Now you know what motives you, you need to do some work.

The Next step to Find the Best Job for Me.

Begin looking at your Job and line up your job up with your motivational test.

Sit down with a cup of coffee in a quiet place maybe put some music on get a pen and paper and your test.

Ask yourself the following list of questions.

  1. Why you do, or don’t do, certain things at work?
  2. Which of your responsibilities draw upon your most motivated talents?
  3. Which of your highest motivations are hardly ever used?
  4. Which of your responsibilities call upon your lesser talents? What can
  5. you do about this?
  6. How does your job fit your preferred way of relating to others?
  7. Are the circumstances that motivate you present?
  8. Is there a position in your company that’s a better fit than your current one? If so, what do you need to do to prepare for it?
  9. If you are feeling drained or burned out, which areas are out of kilter?
  10. If you feel you are in the wrong company or profession, what can you do about it?
  11. Is this the best job for me?

Now you have resolved these questions, it is time to share your
motivations and talents.

You may want to start with your boss.

Book a meeting with Him or Her you could include some examples or stories to illustrate your motivators.

This is one of the most critical career moves you can make.

That’s because if you and your boss talk regularly about what motivates you, this will greatly increase the likelihood that:

He or she will have realistic expectations of you.

You will get assignments that play to your strengths.

Together you can decide how to handle tasks that call on your minor talents.

Identify areas where training/experience/mentoring will be most helpful.

You will be able to spot opportunities and positions that are a good fit for you.

The next stage is to minimize everything else

Please remember you are designed to do something, but not everything, give yourself a break.

Do not spend too much time working on areas of low talent and low motivation.

If you must work in areas where you have low motivation?

You do have some options.

Firstly, you can admit that you are lacking in that area.

Have honest expectations of your performance.

Secondly, see if you can create a system to help you. For instance if you have a low talent for time management why not buy a Palm Pilot  it could be very helpful or take a time management course.

Partner up with someone who has high talent in the area you’re lacking.

This does not mean that anything that doesn’t motivate you can ignore.

We all have to do things we do not enjoy from time to time.

We have responsibilities and duties that must be done.

For instance I hate doing paperwork. So I put a note in my diary that certain paperwork needs to be done. I put down a time (first job of the day this is the time I’m most motivated) and I get through it so much faster and then I can enjoy the rest of my day at work.

We all need to have realistic expectations of ourselves.

This will not happen overnight but it will in time, you will need patience.

The Wise Person knows their Limitations.

Know yourself and then let your boss know who you are.

You may just be in the best Job for me, you just don’t know it yet.

Why not take your motivational test now it’s Free, but I would recommend that you invest in one of the full reports. Wouldn’t it be worth a small fee to change your life?
